Top Local Employers Celebrated for Affordable, High-Quality Health Benefits: Discover the Best Plans!

Three Mesa County businesses recently received recognition for their outstanding health benefit plans.

The awards, known as the “Rosie Awards,” highlight quality and affordability in employer-sponsored health care. Health Rosetta, the organization behind these awards, helps businesses lower their health care costs while improving the well-being of their workforce.

The winners this year are Enstrom Candies, Western Slope Iron & Supply, and the Kaart Group. Dave Marsh, president of Western Slope Iron & Supply, noted that the award validates their efforts in providing better care at lower costs.

Health Rosetta uses a unique tool called the “Plan Grader” to evaluate health plans. This tool looks at several factors, including the plan’s structure, cost transparency, and how well it serves members. An important aspect of their approach is reinvesting savings into employee benefits. These can include zero-cost medications, affordable healthy food options, and enhanced primary care services.

Interestingly, there’s a growing trend in the business world towards prioritizing employee health. According to a recent survey by the Employee Benefits Research Institute, companies that invest in wellness programs can see a rise in productivity and a decrease in health-related costs.

Winning a Rosie Award is just the beginning; recipients are also invited to participate in RosettaFest 2025, taking place from August 24-27 in Denver. This event brings together industry leaders to share strategies and insights on improving health care benefits.
