Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s marriage has officially come to an end. Their divorce was finalized in court recently, allowing both to move on with their lives.
Tori, well-known from her days on Beverly Hills, 90210, now retains full rights to many of her projects, including her podcast MisSPELLING. She and Dean have a unique arrangement regarding their five children: there’s no child support; each parent covers expenses when they have custody.
Interestingly, Tori chose not to seek spousal support, and they mutually agreed to split their debts, which total around $1 million. This includes taxes and various credit card bills.
Tori filed for divorce in March 2024, following their separation the previous June. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. Despite the challenges, sources say that they parted on friendly terms.
The couple’s amicable approach to co-parenting is reflected in their custody arrangement. Tori has taken responsibility for certain expenses, like covering the lease on their daughter Stella’s 2021 Bronco.
In today’s social landscape, amicable divorces are becoming more common. A study from the American Psychological Association notes that many couples prefer to focus on mutual respect rather than conflict. This approach not only helps the adults but can greatly benefit the children involved.
As they both step into new chapters, Dean has publicly dated girlfriend Lily Calo since May 2024. Meanwhile, Tori made her red carpet debut with Ryan Cramer.
While their relationship may have ended, it seems both are ready to embrace the future, keeping the well-being of their kids a priority.
