The victims included Joey M. Broom, 58, from Altoona, Alabama, who was killed in the collision. John K. Clark, 44, also from Alabama, and Jeffrey C. Little, 62, from Brandon, Mississippi, were thrown overboard and sadly drowned.

"This is a heartbreaking moment for our entire organization," said Kathy Fennel, Major League Fishing’s executive vice president. She extended heartfelt condolences to the families affected by this tragedy.

The tournament, which offered a top prize of up to $115,000, faced the cancellation of its final day due to this devastating event.
