Tragic Car Crash Claims Lives of Three TLC’s ‘Meet the Putmans’ Family Members in Michigan: Five Others Hospitalized

In a heartbreaking incident, three members of the Putman family from TLC’s reality show “Meet the Putmans” tragically lost their lives in a car accident last Friday night. The family’s patriarch, Bill “Papa” Putman, his wife Barb, also known as “Neenee,” and their daughter-in-law Megan were in a jeep that was hit by a semi-truck in Cass City, Michigan. The truck reportedly ran a stop sign, leading to the fatal collision.

The family released a statement expressing their sorrow: “I come to you with a heavy heart asking for your prayers,” they said. “Our family was in a tragic car accident and we lost Papa, Neenee, and Aunt Megan. They have gone home to be with the Lord.”

Megan Putnam’s husband Blake and their three children, along with a niece, require hospitalization following the crash. The family requested prayers for their recovery, emphasizing the need for healing and strength.

First responders pronounced Bill, Barb, and Megan dead at the scene. The remaining family members were transported to various hospitals, with some in critical condition. The truck driver and his passenger sustained minor injuries and were also taken to the hospital.

At one point, 25 people lived under one roof, reflecting a close-knit family unit, with four adults sharing their life in a 35,000 square foot home.
