The tragic case of two children found dead in a Wellesley, Massachusetts home has shocked the local community. Their mother, Janette MacCausland, 49, has been charged with their murders.
It all began when the Vermont police made a wellness check request for the family. When Wellesley police arrived at the Edgemoor Avenue home around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, they sadly discovered two children, ages 6 and 7, deceased. The kids were known to be part of the Wellesley Public School System, but their identities have not yet been released.
Janette MacCausland is currently in a correctional facility in Vermont. She faces two murder charges and a fugitive from justice charge. Plans are in motion to extradite her back to Massachusetts for further legal proceedings.
Neighbors are grappling with the news. One neighbor, James, expressed disbelief, saying the children appeared well-cared for and loved. “It’s very sad and horrible. These were adorable little kids,” he said.
