Tragic Discovery: Three American Women Found Dead at Belize Beach Resort – What Happened?

Over the weekend, three American women were found dead in a beach resort in Belize. Police are treating their deaths as possible drug overdoses. The women, identified as 23-year-old Kaoutar Naqqad, 24-year-old Imane Mallah, and 26-year-old Wafae El-Arar, were staying at the Royal Kahal Beach Resort.

The city of Revere, Massachusetts, where the women were from, expressed their condolences on social media. They shared a heartfelt message for the families and friends of the women who died unexpectedly.

Staff at the resort became concerned when the women did not respond after entering their rooms Thursday night. After checking repeatedly, they used a master key to enter the room on Saturday. Inside, they found the women unresponsive.

First responders noted that the women were found with froth around their mouths, which could indicate a drug overdose. However, the exact cause of death has not yet been confirmed. There were no signs of forced entry or visible injuries, although snacks, drinks, vapes, and other personal items were found in the room.

The Royal Kahal Beach Resort is a luxury hotel located on Ambergris Caye in San Pedro Town, Belize. The police are actively investigating the incident.

Recently, the U.S. State Department issued a travel advisory for Belize, highlighting safety concerns. The advisory pointed out that violent crimes, including robbery and assault, can occur even in tourist areas during the day.
