A tragic incident occurred in Wauna, a small town west of Tacoma, Washington. On Tuesday morning, a man stabbed four people in the street after breaking a no-contact order.

Chris Cardenas, a nearby resident, recalled hearing the gunfire while washing his truck. “It echoed through the trees,” he said.
According to court records, the suspect’s mother had obtained a protection order against him last May. She expressed fear for her safety, mentioning his mental health and substance issues. She reported that he threatened her and exhibited erratic behavior, including damaging her belongings and endangering her pets.
The protective order had specific terms, such as requiring him to stay away from her and attend mental health treatment. However, he failed to show up for the hearing related to the order.
