Tragically, 22-year-old Latin music artist DELAROSA, whose real name was Maria De La Rosa, was shot and killed in Los Angeles in what police are calling an ambush.
The incident occurred early on Saturday, November 22, in the Northridge neighborhood. Two men reportedly approached a parked car and opened fire, injuring three people inside. Maria was one of the victims and later died at the hospital. The other two individuals are in critical condition. The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and authorities have not made any arrests yet.
DELAROSA was gaining attention as a promising talent in the Latin music scene. She released her single “No Me Llames” (“Don’t Call Me”) just a few months ago in August 2025. On her Instagram, where she had over 40,000 followers, her recent posts showed her hard at work in the studio. One message read, “Busy cooking in the studio. It’s about time.”
