Victoria Jones, the daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, tragically passed away on New Year’s Day. The cause has now been confirmed as an accidental cocaine overdose, according to the San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Victoria was found dead at the Fairmont San Francisco hotel around 3:14 a.m. The medical examiner categorized her death as an accident, due to the toxic effects of cocaine.
She was just 34 years old. Before her death, Victoria faced legal troubles, including an arrest in Napa, California, over a domestic dispute that allegedly involved her drug use.
The Fairmont San Francisco expressed its sorrow, saying, “We are deeply saddened by the incident,” and emphasized their support for the ongoing investigation.

A recent report indicated that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) saw an increase in drug-related fatalities, largely tied to opioids and cocaine. For instance, in 2021, nearly 107,000 people died from overdoses in the U.S., marking a significant increase from prior years.
