Several people are feared dead after a small plane crashed into a residential area in San Diego on Thursday morning. The plane, a Cessna 550, can carry about eight to ten people, including the pilot. Another resident, a marine living nearby, described hearing a strange noise before the crash, accompanied by a strong shaking in his house.

The small aircraft was reportedly on approach to Montgomery Field, an airport just six miles from downtown San Diego.
