A Journey Across the Globe: Dr. Rishi Raj’s Historic Achievement
Dr. Rishi Raj has made headlines recently by becoming the first Indian to explore all 36 states and Union Territories of India, as well as all seven continents of the world. On November 16, 2025, he set foot in Antarctica, carrying the Indian flag as a testament to his pride and dedication to the nation.
Dr. Raj’s adventure began back in 1994 with Indian Railways. During his early travels, he explored many regions of India. By 2008, he completed a pilgrimage to all Jyotirlingas and the Char Dham. His journey took an international turn in 2012 when he ventured to Kailash Mansarovar. Over 31 years, he has traveled extensively, culminating in this incredible milestone.
As a passionate advocate for the environment, Dr. Raj also displayed a banner in Antarctica promoting “Save Our Mother Earth.” Additionally, he paid homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel during his travels, showcasing a banner with Patel’s image to celebrate the centenary of the Iron Man of India.
From Antarctica, Dr. Raj shared, “This journey represents unity, patriotism, and a responsibility toward our planet. Wherever I go, the spirit of Bharat travels with me.”
In addition to his travels, Dr. Raj is an accomplished writer with over 28 books on history and patriotism. He has created more than 600 short films celebrating India’s culture under his channel, Exploring India with Rishi. His work has garnered him several accolades, including the Rahul Sankrityayan Award from the Indian Ministry of Tourism.
Experts believe that journeys like Dr. Raj’s can inspire young Indians to embrace patriotism and environmental consciousness. According to a recent survey by the Indian Ministry of Youth Affairs, 70% of young people express a desire for experiences that connect them with their culture.
As Dr. Raj looks forward to filing for recognition with various record bodies, his story serves as a reminder of the power of travel—not just to see the world, but to connect deeply with one’s roots.
