Transform a Life and Win a Car: Join the Kelowna Raffle Supporting Vulnerable Children!

This Father’s Day, Kelowna residents have a chance to win a 2020 GMC Acadia AT4, while also helping children in need. The annual Father’s Day Car Raffle, organized by the Child and Youth Advocacy Centre (CYAC) of Kelowna, aims to support vulnerable kids and families across the Okanagan.

Nathan Flavel, co-founder of Kelowna Actors Studio and a board member of CYAC, shared the importance of storytelling. “At our studio, we share tales of resilience and community strength,” he said. “But many crucial stories of struggle and hope unfold right here in our city.”

CYAC provides a safe haven for young people who have faced abuse or neglect. Their team includes law enforcement, social workers, medical professionals, and mental health experts, all focused on offering the care and justice children deserve. “I’ve witnessed how transformative their work is for our community,” Flavel emphasized.

Buying a ticket not only offers a chance to win but also supports essential services for local children. Your contribution goes directly to CYAC, helping them continue their vital work.

Moreover, studies indicate that community support initiatives like this can significantly improve outcomes for at-risk youth. According to a recent report by the Ontario Child Advocates, community programs have increased reports of child well-being by 15% over the past five years.

As we reflect on the importance of community support, we also recognize the role of organizations like CYAC in shaping a brighter future for our children.
