The 15th Annual Snowflake Gala is set for December 13 at 6 p.m. It’s happening at the Lowry Center at Kenyon College. This event supports Food For The Hungry, aiming to raise $340,000 to help Knox County families in need.
Guests can kick off the evening with a cocktail hour before enjoying a gourmet dinner crafted by local culinary talent. After dinner, there will be an exciting live auction, where every dollar raised helps those in need in the community. The night will also feature live music from the Knox Community Jazztet and MTV Arts, making it a wonderful blend of entertainment and philanthropy.
This year’s gala will honor Bruce Jacklin for his dedication to the arts in our community. He will receive the William A. Stroud Jr. Award for Public Service, with co-hosts Kelly Yerxa Lauth and Leah Stone Miller, who have shared many theatrical moments with him.
Tickets are $100 each, and they must be reserved by December 5. You can buy tickets online at FoodForTheHungryCares.org/snowflakegala. All proceeds from the event go to support individuals and families in Knox County.
For those who want to make a bigger impact, consider sponsoring a table for eight for $1,000. This is a great way to support the cause while enjoying the gala with friends. Companies and individuals interested in sponsorship can contact Aubrey Matkovick at matkovick1@kenyon.edu.
If you can’t make it to the gala, you can still help out. Donations are accepted online at FoodForTheHungryCares.org, or you can send contributions by mail to their local office in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
Leading into the gala, there will be collection points across Knox County on December 12 for those who wish to donate in person. Check out the website for locations and other ways to get involved. Every effort counts in the mission to support our community.
