Awareness of financial planning is growing in Indonesia. People are starting to see that life insurance is not just about saving or investing—it’s a key part of maintaining a quality life over the long haul.
Today, life insurance is more than just a safety net for unexpected events. Many products offer cash benefits while you’re still working, and even provide support for the elderly. Traditional views of insurance are shifting. Modern policies now offer both protection and financial benefits.
With life becoming more complex—especially regarding health and economic uncertainties—there’s a rising demand for long-term financial protection. This is particularly true among the financially savvy middle class, who are viewing insurance in a more relevant light for their lifestyles.
PT AIA Financial, in collaboration with Bank Central Asia (BCA), has created products aimed at fulfilling these long-term financial protection needs. One notable product is the Whole Life Income Maksima Protection, known as HOKI. It offers life coverage and provides annual cash benefits up until the age of 99.
Harsya Prasetyo, President Director of AIA Indonesia, commented on HOKI, stating, “It not only delivers life protection but also builds economic value through increasing cash funds.” In today’s changing social and economic landscape, such protection offers peace of mind, not just for policyholders, but also for their families.
Haryanto T. Budiman, Director of BCA, pointed out that evolving urban lifestyles are driving a need for simpler, more flexible insurance products. Many people want to enjoy a comfortable retirement without solely relying on their children. Products like HOKI are designed to support this objective, empowering individuals to manage their wealth and enhance their financial resilience over the long term.
In fact, a recent survey indicated that over 60% of Indonesians are considering life insurance not just for security but as an investment strategy as well. This trend suggests a significant shift in how people prioritize financial planning.
As the conversation around financial literacy continues to grow, it becomes clear that life insurance like HOKI could play an essential role in shaping a financially secure future for individuals and families alike.
