Many people say that the Clicks keyboard case makes an iPhone look like a Blackberry. Now that Clicks is creating cases for Android, especially foldables, it reminds me more of the Casio Secret Sender Diary I wanted as a kid. If you take a close look at the Motorola Razr+ alongside the Clicks case, you might see what I mean.
Last year, Clicks launched its physical keyboard case for the iPhone 15 Pro, followed by the iPhone 16 Pro. Now it’s available for Android devices for the first time. The Clicks keyboard now fits models like the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro (but not the Pro XL), the Galaxy S25 (only that model), and the Moto Razr+. Each case changes the phone into something quite different.
The Clicks cases for Android come in several colors like Onyx black and a striking Electric blue with gray trim. There’s even a bright yellow and purple version called Surge, which could appeal to LA Lakers fans. It wouldn’t be shocking if these colors were inspired by Rick Osterloh from Google, who is a big basketball fan.
For the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Galaxy S25, the Clicks keyboard case works similarly to its iPhone counterpart. After connecting to the USB-C port, the keyboard lights up and is ready to use. You can make the most of Android’s keyboard shortcuts, and the physical keyboard frees up screen space, making for better screenshots.
The Moto Razr+ version stands out to me because of its unique design. Mr. Mobile, a co-founder of Clicks, shared a video walkthrough of the keyboard cases on YouTube. Since you can use many Android apps on the Razr+’s cover screen, the Clicks case lets you interact without opening the phone. Priced at $130, it offers interesting features.
Maybe it’s time for me to give the Clicks keyboard case a chance. I have one for the iPhone 15 Pro that I didn’t use much before. Back then, I struggled with typing because I often had long nails. But now that there’s a keyboard case for folding phones, I feel there’s potential for us. I’m curious to see if they’ll create one for Samsung’s Z Flip phones soon!
The Pixel 9 version of the Clicks case will be ready in April, followed by the Razr+ and Galaxy S25. Pre-orders start at $100 until March 21; afterward, it’ll be $130.
