Transform Your Health: Ana Feleo’s Inspiring Journey to Lose 72lbs and Reclaim Her Life

Ana Feleo recently gained attention for losing an impressive 72 pounds. She shared a collage of her before-and-after photos, admitting it took a lot of hard work for her to get healthy.

In a chat with GMA News Online, Ana opened up about her struggles with weight. She confessed that she’s always battled with her size. Her weight loss journey began as a response to a dream job offer — performing the lead role of Tosca in Puccini’s opera.

In January 2024, she accepted the role slated for February 2025. This opportunity made her realize the physical demands of singing without microphone support, especially with a full orchestra behind her.

“I felt out of shape,” she shared. “Sustaining my notes was a struggle.” This moment was a wake-up call for her. She knew she needed to regain control over her body to meet the demands of her role.

At the start of her journey, Ana weighed between 216-220 pounds. To kick things off, she eliminated snacks, replaced some carbs with greens, and switched to lower-calorie beverages. However, by November, she hit a plateau.

A friend recommended a weight management doctor who educated her on calorie deficit, which transformed her approach. The changes in her diet became pivotal. By January 2025, she adopted a high-protein, low-calorie plan that helped her drop to 158 pounds just in time for her performance.

Health improvements followed closely. Her blood pressure dropped significantly, and frequent migraines ceased. Ana now weighs 144 pounds and feels energized.

Her workout regimen involved cardio, free weights, and yoga to build strength for her singing. Now, she collaborates with a coach to focus on body toning and fat loss, adding a new dimension to her practice.

When it comes to nutrition, Ana emphasizes its importance over exercise. “Nutrition fuels my energy,” she said, noting that she opts for whole foods to support her active lifestyle. She schedules her workouts like important meetings, treating them as non-negotiable.

Managing fatigue is another challenge. When tired, she reminds herself of her commitments, especially since her schedule can get busy.

“My journey isn’t too costly,” she explained. “I prepare my meals, which makes it manageable.” She’s also shifted her preferences toward proteins and vegetables, cutting out sugary foods.

Reflecting on her experience, Ana offers some advice: “This journey is yours alone. It won’t always be perfect, but that’s okay. Make healthy living your lifestyle, not just a diet. Surround yourself with supportive people, and learn as you go.”

Ana Feleo’s story highlights the importance of dedication, informed choices, and the motivation that comes from pursuing a passion. If you’re interested in exploring more about weight management strategies, the CDC offers great resources on staying healthy.
