The Asian American Drug Abuse Program (AADAP) is excited to team up with Coral Head Inc., the owner of the Hawaiian Island Creations (HIC) brand. Together, AADAP and HIC will launch a line of co-branded apparel and lifestyle products. These items will connect AADAP’s mission of fostering recovery with HIC’s commitment to the beauty and wellness of Hawaii. Through sales and themed events, the partnership aims to generate funds to support AADAP’s essential services in Southern California.

AADAP Interim CEO Rhea K. Mac expressed excitement about the collaboration. She noted, “We’re thrilled to join forces with Hawaiian Island Creations. This partnership will help us reach more young people and families, and promote the idea of healthy living. Our goal is to inspire communities to embrace wellness and resilience.”

AADAP has been providing substance abuse prevention and treatment services since 1972, focusing on underserved Asian and Pacific Islander populations. In addition to treatment, they offer housing assistance, job support, and mental health resources to help individuals lead fulfilling lives.

Craig Hara from Hawaiian Island Creations shared similar thoughts on the partnership. “We believe in living a purposeful life and embracing the outdoors. Partnering with AADAP aligns with our mission to foster a healthy, drug-free future for our communities,” he said.

To kick off this partnership, AADAP and HIC will host a pop-up event on Saturday, February 22, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at AADAP’s headquarters in Los Angeles. The event will feature Hawaiian entertainment, delicious food, and a variety of discounted HIC merchandise. Part of the proceeds will support AADAP’s recovery programs.

Additionally, AADAP plans to host various educational and recreational activities, including wellness workshops and family days. These events will share inspiring testimonials from individuals in recovery, providing valuable resources for those on a similar journey.

This partnership arrives at a crucial time, as many communities grapple with addiction and substance abuse challenges. By combining the universal appeal of HIC with AADAP’s vital services, this collaboration aims to empower individuals of all ages to lead fulfilling, substance-free lives.
