Are you ready to declutter while helping others? The 16th annual Be Jeweled jewelry sale is happening soon, and it’s a great chance to support a meaningful cause.
On Saturday, May 10, community members can donate their pre-loved jewelry to support Food Share of Lincoln County. From vintage pieces to colorful ’80s accessories, all types of jewelry are welcome.
Food Share’s executive director, Nancy Mitchell, encourages everyone to contribute. “We take any jewelry, any era, in any condition,” she says. A dedicated team of volunteers will sort, clean, and repair the items for sale. If something can’t be fixed, it may be turned into unique sun catchers and other creative pieces. It’s all about sustainability and supporting local families.
All the money raised goes directly to Food Share’s mission of fighting hunger in Lincoln County. They work with various partners like food pantries and meal programs to help feed over 4,000 people each month.
Thanks to sales like Be Jeweled, along with other efforts throughout the year, more than $35,000 is raised annually. This vital funding helps purchase and distribute food to those in need.
