Franciscan Health is teaming up with US HealthVest to improve behavioral health services in Lake County. This partnership will mean that US HealthVest takes over the management of both adult and adolescent psychiatric units, detox programs, and outpatient services at Franciscan Health Dyer. They will also provide psychiatric support in the emergency departments at Franciscan Health Crown Point, Dyer, and Munster.
The adolescent programs at the St. Francis Center, however, will continue to be run by Franciscan Health. All doctors within the Franciscan Physician Network will still be employed by Franciscan Alliance.
Raymond Grady, the President and CEO of Franciscan Health’s local hospitals, expressed optimism about the partnership. He mentioned, “We are confident that patients and their families will receive expert and compassionate care through this collaboration with US HealthVest.”
US HealthVest is known for its strong focus on psychiatric care in Illinois and Indiana. Richard Kresch, MD, and CEO of US HealthVest, stated, “We are excited to bring our expertise and operational model to enhance psychiatric care in Northwest Indiana.”
