Since October 2022, Slovenia has been on an exciting journey to change its economy for the better. With the help of Climate KIC and the Slovenian Government, the aim is to promote a circular economy and reduce carbon emissions. This effort will wrap up by the end of 2025.
As part of this initiative, the Circular Economy Hotspot conference will take place from September 10 to 12, 2025, in Ljubljana. Hosted by key ministries in Slovenia, this conference will focus on the future of circularity and the impact of the Deep Demonstration program.
On September 11, there will be an interactive session where stakeholders can share their insights and challenges regarding circularity as a means of decarbonisation. This is a great opportunity for public and private sector representatives, industry leaders, and policymakers to come together and discuss innovative solutions.
Research shows that businesses adopting circular practices can lower costs and attract eco-conscious consumers. A report from the Ellen MacArthur Foundation notes that transitioning to a circular economy could add $4.5 trillion to the global economy by 2030.
During the session, participants can:
- Learn from experiences gathered over several years of work in Slovenia.
- Explore new business opportunities in circularity and the bioeconomy.
- Collaborate on solutions for future innovation and sustainability efforts in Slovenia and beyond.
This is an exciting chance to be part of meaningful discussions that can lead to real change in Slovenia and the broader region. Don’t miss out on the chance to connect with others who share a vision for a sustainable future.
