HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has teamed up with the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering (ASCTE) to boost cybersecurity education in the state.
This partnership kicked off during an event at the ASCTE campus on Monday.
“TVA has a strong cybersecurity program that protects our power grid from threats,” said Jared Mitchem, TVA’s Regional Executive. “ASCTE’s innovative methods fit well with what we’re trying to achieve. We’re excited to work together to help students across Alabama prepare for the future.”
TVA employees will collaborate with ASCTE students, offering hands-on experience that connects classroom lessons to the real world.
“This partnership allows TVA cybersecurity staff to make a meaningful impact,” said Gregory Jackson, TVA’s Cybersecurity Authorization & Outreach Manager. “It’s a great chance to develop skills and build relationships for a diverse workforce.”
