IDEX, a major defence fair in Abu Dhabi, is happening from February 17 to 21. Here, Indra is presenting cutting-edge defence solutions that equip many of the world’s most advanced armies.
Indra is becoming a key tech partner for countries in the Arabian Gulf. They are building strong collaborations with local firms and supporting crucial defence and security projects in the region.
A great example of this collaboration is Pulse, a joint venture between Indra and Edge, focused on developing next-gen radars for promising markets.
At Edge’s stand, Indra will showcase its latest radar systems. This includes the AESA Nemus and Nemus-C, designed to protect military vehicles and ships from drone attacks, missiles, and other projectiles.
Indra will also display the AESA MTR-10 radar, a highly advanced system for anti-aircraft defence. Additionally, they’ll present a new self-protection pod for aircraft and helicopters, featuring the latest in digital technology and signal processing.
At Navdex, a naval fair alongside IDEX, Indra will feature its advanced radars and electronic defence systems. These will be shown on a patrol boat from Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), including 3D radar systems and their Crow anti-drone system (C-UAS), which effectively protects land and naval forces in real operations.
Indra has a lot more to offer at its stand, showcasing simulators, military communication systems, border surveillance tech, and advanced satellite platforms.
The company is also integrating cutting-edge technologies like AI, cloud computing, and virtual reality into its projects. Notable efforts include the evolution of the Eurofighter and the development of the next generation air combat system (NGWS/FCAS), as well as systems for ships like the F110 and the new S80 submarine.
Indra has a solid presence in the Middle East. They have worked on important security projects, such as Oman’s air defence system using Lanza radars, and equipped Saudi corvettes with sensors alongside partners like Navantia and Lockheed Martin.
