The three-day event attracted almost 100 delegates from over 70 school boards, including representatives from Cambridge International and the International Baccalaureate (IB). This diverse participation highlights growing interest in education reform across borders.

In his opening remarks, Varma emphasized that a successful education system should balance technology and humanity. He stated, “Viksit Bharat is not just about a wealthy India but a culturally rich one that leads in values, not just economics.” His vision is for education to be grounded in India’s cultural heritage.

He also urged for a more moral framework in education. “We must shape our children with values like empathy and compassion, not just facts,” he noted. His remarks resonated with many attendees, highlighting the importance of nurturing the emotional and moral development of students.

Dr. Yogita Rana, the secretary for the Government of Telangana, echoed these sentiments. She emphasized that real change in education comes from passionate people: “It’s not just policies that drive transformation, but those who believe in the power of education.” When teachers and leaders collaborate with empathy, they create an environment where every child can thrive.
