Transforming Milwaukee: Experience Your Favorite Chains Like Cracker Barrel and Hooters This Halloween!

Halloween is not just for trick-or-treaters anymore. Several Milwaukee restaurants are gearing up to celebrate this spooky season in style, transforming into creative concepts for a weekend of fun.

Vanguard Becomes “Whooterz”

Vanguard, a favorite in Bay View, is known for its annual Halloween transformation. This year, on October 30, it will become “Whooterz,” inspired by the well-known Hooters. The pop-up menu includes a variety of chicken dishes, but there’s more than just wings. Guests can expect crispy tofu, wings with flavors like cherry BBQ and peach habanero, and a unique sausage made with pheasant and chicken. There’s even a specialty duck burger with muenster cheese and cranberry mustard. For snacks, enjoy chips and queso or carnitas nachos. Desserts include fun “Whooterz Shooterz,” featuring pumpkin flavors and brownie bites.

Honeypie Turns into “Biscuit Barrel”

From October 31 to November 2, Honeypie will morph into the “Biscuit Barrel.” This cozy spot will serve comfort food inspired by the beloved Cracker Barrel chain. Look forward to chicken-fried steak, corn muffins, and cheesy jalapeño grits. The cafe will also whip up drinks to fit the theme. Honeypie is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., so you won’t miss out on these tasty treats.

Comet Cafe Celebrates “Trailer Park Boys”

On Halloween, Comet Cafe is having a pop-up inspired by the Canadian mockumentary “Trailer Park Boys.” The day will feature three special menus. The Shed-n-Breakfast menu has fun items like Maple Hash and a Breakfast Bobandy Burger served on deep-fried French toast. The Dirty Borger menu includes the Bluejay Burger with a crispy chicken tender on top and Donair Poutine, a Canadian favorite. To wash it all down, try drinks like Pizomegranate and Boo-berry inspired by characters from the show. Comet Cafe will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on October 31.

This Halloween weekend, these Milwaukee restaurants invite everyone to join in on the fun. It’s a unique chance to enjoy festive food while celebrating the spirit of Halloween in a whole new way.
