Connect India has joined forces with Faarms’ logistics arm to create Bharat Supply, a significant player in India’s logistics landscape. This new venture operates in 230 districts and stretches its services to over 200,000 villages, making it the largest logistics company focused beyond metropolitan areas in the country.
Bharat Supply offers a complete logistics service, handling everything from last-mile delivery to warehousing. It caters to various clients, including small businesses, e-commerce companies, agriculture enterprises, and large corporations.
With a goal to be the largest tech-enabled distribution platform in India, Bharat Supply focuses on underserved markets, operating across 17 states and union territories. Its services range from Gujarat in the west to the Andaman Islands in the south and Jammu & Kashmir in the north. The company ensures 24-hour delivery, making it one of the fastest-growing supply networks in India.
“This merger aligns with our vision to create impactful businesses that resonate with everyday India,” said Vineet Rai, founder of Aavishkaar Group. “Bharat Supply not only enhances logistics but also promotes economic inclusion.”
The company is supported by various investors, including Aavishkaar Capital and notable entrepreneurs like Cornelius Boersch. Boersch noted, “India’s logistics sector can efficiently address traditional infrastructure gaps with the help of technology.”
As rural markets hold immense potential, Bharat Supply aims to provide solutions that benefit millions. Koh Boon Hwee from Black Kite Capital emphasized the opportunity for long-term growth through effective logistics in these areas.
Bharat Supply is led by Taranbir Singh and Alok Duggal, who bring extensive experience in agriculture and operational management. They aim to ensure that a farmer in a distant village experiences the same delivery speed and reliability as those in major cities. Taranbir Singh remarked, “We’re building a network that will support commerce in rural India.”
What sets Bharat Supply apart is its commitment to 24-hour delivery, even in hard-to-reach places. This is achieved through specialized logistics infrastructure and real-time technology. The company is also keen on inclusive hiring, employing local workers and entrepreneurs from semi-urban and rural settings.
With ambitions to extend its reach to 300 districts by 2025, Bharat Supply is poised to become the preferred logistics partner for brands eager to navigate the vast market of rural India.
