Just a day after the Ravens’ trade for Maxx Crosby didn’t go through, they secured a deal with Trey Hendrickson. Initially, some fans viewed Hendrickson as a backup choice, but General Manager Eric DeCosta had other plans. He aimed to add both edge rushers.
Hendrickson shared that he was excited about the prospect of teaming up with Crosby. “I was looking forward to rushing with him,” he mentioned on Terron Armstead’s podcast. The thought of having two powerhouses challenging quarterbacks thrilled him.
The Ravens were in need of an edge rusher, and Hendrickson fit the bill. In 2024, he led the league with 17.5 sacks, proving he’s a valuable addition. He sees this as his best shot at reaching the Super Bowl since his 2021 season with Cincinnati.
Reflecting on that time, he said, “Right now, I’m on the hunt for one thing: to win it all.” He feels lucky to be part of teams with winning potential. He noted the importance of having a strong quarterback, mentioning Lamar Jackson, who plays a key role in the Ravens’ strategy.
Interestingly, in the last decade, the number of teams with Super Bowl-winning capabilities has often been fewer than ten. Recent surveys show that fans believe the Ravens might be one of those top contenders this season. With a powerful lineup, the team is generating a lot of excitement among supporters and analysts alike.
