Tripura Unveils New School Rating Framework: CM Manik Saha Calls it a Game Changer for Education!

Recently, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha unveiled the Tripura School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework (TSQAAF) in Agartala. He described this initiative as a fresh approach to enhance education in the state.

CM Saha highlighted the significant funds being directed toward education, which is already showing positive trends. Recently, Tripura hired 226 teachers to improve teaching quality. “We are committed to a transparent hiring process through the Teachers’ Recruitment Board,” he assured. This ensures that only qualified individuals step into the classroom.

Tripura has achieved an impressive milestone by becoming the third “fully literate” state in India, following Mizoram and Goa. The literacy rate stands at 95.6%. Both Class 10 and Class 12 pass rates have surpassed 86% and 79%, respectively. In Vidyajyoti schools, there’s been a notable rise in pass rates, with improvements of 26% for Class 10 and 21% for Class 12 compared to last year.

Education in Tripura is evolving. Once focused mainly on basic literacy, current programs now teach various skills, including critical thinking and vocational training. CM Saha emphasized that education is more than just obtaining certificates; it plays a key role in shaping values and character.

Social media is buzzing with enthusiasm about these changes. Many users are sharing their hopes for a revitalized education system in Tripura. The anticipation reflects a collective belief that these reforms can lead to a brighter future for students.

The state is also aligning with the National Education Policy, aiming to create a competitive environment in schools. Just as the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) evaluates higher education, TSQAAF will assess schools to ensure quality and excellence.

Moving forward, the focus will be on continuous improvement, holding schools accountable to high standards, and ultimately nurturing the next generation with both knowledge and essential life skills.
