Trump Gains Support from MAGA Influencers Amid Calls for Epstein Transparency

Steve Bannon has joined other MAGA supporters rallying around Donald Trump after the Wall Street Journal reported on a controversial birthday letter allegedly linked to Trump and Jeffrey Epstein. Bannon, a prominent figure in the MAGA movement, claimed this controversy has united a base that had begun to splinter.

Bannon stated, “We are finally on offense. Trump is fighting back against his real enemies.” His comments reflect a shift among Trump’s backers, many of whom were critical of how the Epstein case was managed. There has been increasing pressure on the administration to release more details regarding Epstein, who died in 2019 while awaiting trial.

Recently, the Justice Department announced there was no “client list” concerning Epstein, which sparked further outrage. White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt indicated that while Trump might not endorse a special counsel, he supports releasing any credible information that surfaces.

The situation escalated when the Wall Street Journal published an article revealing letters sent to Epstein for his 50th birthday, one bearing what appeared to be Trump’s signature. Trump denied writing the letter and threatened to sue the publication.
