Tufts University Women’s Squash Team Ready for NESCAC Championships
The Tufts University women’s squash team kicks off their postseason on Saturday as the No. 3 seed in the 2026 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championships. They’ll face Bowdoin College at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY.
The Jumbos enter this championship with a solid record of 9-5. They have performed well this season, especially at home, where they posted a 5-1 record. They also played against several top-ranked teams, finishing with a commendable 8-5 against nationally ranked opponents. This balance of strength shows their consistency in what is considered one of the toughest schedules in the nation.
They started the season strong with a close 5-4 victory against Columbia University. They also had impressive shutouts against Hamilton College, Connecticut College, and Wesleyan University. Notably, their conference wins against Colby College, Bowdoin College, and Middlebury College highlighted their dominance.
The team has a collective 76-50 individual match record, reflecting a solid .603 winning percentage. Anika Goyal stood out with the best record, going 11-3 and ending the regular season on a four-match winning streak. Vharsha Dinesh followed closely with an 8-3 record, winning her last seven matches. Other contributors include Indira Moshi (7-4) and Anika Parr (8-5), both key players in the lineup, along with Sohni Vermani, who posted a strong 6-2 record.
Tufts has particularly excelled at the No. 1 and No. 5 positions, both contributing double-digit wins. The No. 6 player also achieved an impressive .786 winning percentage.

The NESCAC Squash Championships will take place at the Little Squash Center, hosted by Hamilton College. Quarterfinals begin on Saturday, February 14, at 10 a.m., with semifinals and the championship match scheduled for Sunday, February 15, at 4 p.m.
