MILAN — The U.S. women’s hockey team just dominated Switzerland 5-0, and coach John Wroblewski praised his young players, especially goaltending and defender Caroline Harvey’s speed. But the next challenge awaits: Canada.
Coach Wroblewski is aware of the hurdles Canada presents, especially with their star player, Marie-Philip Poulin, facing a possible injury. “It’s a shame,” he noted, acknowledging Poulin’s exit from Canada’s 5-1 win over Czechia. As of now, Canada’s coach Troy Ryan isn’t sure if Poulin will be ready for Tuesday’s game.

Coach Colin Muller highlighted their efforts, saying they are steadily improving with each game.
Philips expressed excitement about sharing the shutout with McNaughton. “I’m thrilled. We were both ready to perform.”
Harvey was a key contributor, using her speed to help set up plays. “It felt great. Just focusing on my teammates made it all come together,” she said.
In a historic turn, Italy made headlines by reaching the quarterfinals of the Olympic tournament for the first time ever after a dramatic 3-2 win over Japan.
