As Foster navigated these challenges, he frequently emphasized “D.R.E.”—discipline, respect, and enthusiasm. Unfortunately, discipline was lacking, with penalties overshadowing the games.
With the coaching vacancy, speculation is rife about potential replacements. Observers are looking at names like Tony White, a defensive coordinator at Florida State, and Kalani Sitake from BYU, among others.
While it’s a tumultuous period for UCLA football, this shake-up may be a necessary step towards rebuilding. Jarmond believes that with the right leadership, the Bruins can aim higher, possibly even targeting a spot in the College Football Playoff in the future.
