Ukraine Showcases Environmental Achievements: A New Chapter in EU Collaboration

On June 16-20, Brussels will host a significant meeting between the EU and Ukraine focused on “Environment and Climate Change.” Ukraine will showcase its progress in aligning with EU environmental standards, discuss major challenges, and outline the next steps.

This meeting, highlighted by Ukraine’s Ministry of Environmental Protection, is crucial for Ukraine’s path toward European integration. Chapter 27 is particularly challenging, covering over 200 EU legal acts that span various sectors.

During the meeting, Ukraine will present on these key topics:

Olga Yukhymchuk, Deputy Minister for European Integration, expressed confidence: “We have done our homework and are ready for dialogue in Brussels. This process has helped us align our environmental vision with our European partners.”
