1. Get to the Marrow

Begin at the Bellway and fast travel to the Marrow. Then, head right until you find the shaft with a short stepladder leading down.

2. Face Skarrgard

Drop down to fight Skarrgard, the giant ant. This mini-boss can hit hard, so be on your toes. Keep close to him, dodging his attacks and striking when you can. When he falls, grab the nearby Shell Shards before proceeding to Hunter’s March.

3. Rescue the Flea

Next, Pogo jump across red plants to reach a captive Flea. Break the cage to free it, and then continue right to the next area.

4. The Gauntlet with Shakra

As you move east, you’ll encounter a challenge with waves of ant enemies. Shakra the map-maker will join you during the fight. Once you survive, talk to Shakra to buy the Hunter’s March map for 70 Rosaries.

5. Reach the Bench

After the fight, head through a colorful area filled with traps. Avoid the pressure plates, and don’t rush to the Bench—it’s trapped! First, disarm the trap by finding a hidden lever.

6. Meet Gilly

In the next room, you’ll find a dancing statue and Gilly the NPC. Chat with her and check out the area before moving on.

7. Discover Mottled Scarr

Ride the air current to find a secret passage holding Mottled Scarr, an ant-man merchant. He sells useful items, including the Fractured Mask which protects you against death for one hit. Make sure to buy if you can!

8. Unlock a Shortcut

Backtrack to a vertical shaft to unlock a shortcut leading to Deep Docks. It’s handy for future explorations.

9. Enter the Chapel of the Beast

After crossing some spikes and defeating a soldier ant, reach the Chapel. Look out for pressure plates and explore for a Memory Locket within a hanging cage.

10. Defeat the Savage Beastfly

In the Chapel, face off against the Savage Beastfly. This boss hits hard and can call in reinforcements in its second phase. Stay agile and pressure it as much as possible to claim your reward: the Beast Crest, which enhances your slashing attack.
