Good news for train travelers! The Indian Railways is launching a new Amrit Bharat Express train connecting Bihar and Delhi. This train, designed for low to middle-income families, will operate between Sitamarhi and Delhi, starting its commercial service on July 9.
Key Details
The train will be officially inaugurated on July 8 by Union Home Minister Amit Shah via video conferencing from Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi. This new route adds to the existing Amrit Bharat Express services across India, enhancing connectivity for many travelers.
Route and Schedule
The Delhi-Sitamarhi route is about 1,100 kilometers long and the journey will take approximately 20 hours and 45 minutes. Train number 14048/14047 will have stops at 13 important stations, including Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, and Raxaul.
This train will operate weekly, leaving Delhi every Saturday and returning from Sitamarhi on Sunday. It can reach speeds of up to 130 km/h, making it a speedy option for passengers.
