Milestone Achieved: Jah’Likai King Scores 1,000 Points

In a game against George Washington, Jah’Likai King made a big mark by scoring his 1,000th career collegiate point. He reached this milestone just 48 seconds into the second half with a layup assisted by Ace Valentine. King previously scored 934 points during his two seasons at New Haven before joining UMBC. In the game, he led his team with 11 points and snagged five rebounds, even though the Retrievers lost 89-52.

Also contributing to the team, DJ Armstrong Jr. and Josh Odunowo scored eight points each. Odunowo, who just returned from injury, celebrated his 100th college game. Valentine, known for his playmaking, added five assists to his growing tally, which recently surpassed 200.

George Washington’s Rafael Castro stood out, leading his team with 13 points and 15 rebounds, while Luke Hunger added another 13 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. George Washington improved their season record to an impressive 5-0.
