However, he warned about long-term durability: “While we haven’t found major issues, budget drives often raise concerns about sustained performance over time. Regular backups of important data are essential.”

Still, you might want to consider other options. For starters, UnionSine has not published a warranty policy for their HDDs, which raises red flags regarding durability. Plus, if you’re choosing between HDDs and SSDs to save money, it might be wise to invest a bit more for larger storage capacity.
