MACON, Ga. – The North Florida men’s tennis team faced a tough match against Mercer on Sunday. After losing the doubles point, they rallied in singles play but fell short, ending with a 4-3 score.
In doubles, the Ospreys secured one win, with Jean Deloziere and Bruno Vietri triumphing 6-2 on court three. However, they could not overcome the Bears, who won the other two matches.
Despite being down 1-0 heading into singles, Gianluca Filoramo, Lorenzo Messina, and Chase Healey each claimed victory. This brought UNF into a temporary lead at 3-2. Unfortunately, losses on the first and third courts meant the Ospreys couldn’t clinch the overall match.
