Unforgettable ‘SNL’ Debut: K-Pop Sensation ‘Demon Hunters’ Dazzle with Their First-Ever ‘Golden’ Performance!

Saturday Night Live kicked off its 51st season with a bang!

EJAE, Rei Ami, and Audrey Nuna, who voice the characters in the animated movie KPop Demon Hunters, surprised fans with a live performance during the season premiere. This brunch-themed skit was their first time singing the song in front of an audience.

Look out for Huntrix’s first full-length performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon this Tuesday. They’ll chat with Fallon, too! Last week, Fallon teased the appearance, creating buzz among fans of the movie.

KPop Demon Hunters has become a massive success on Netflix, even topping the popularity charts. It follows Huntrix, a K-pop girl group that also battles monsters. Its soundtrack has been a chart-breaker, spending weeks in the Billboard 200’s top 10. According to THR, there are talks for a sequel, which has fans excited.

This August, Huntrix knocked Alex Warren off the top spot on the Billboard chart. After a brief exchange, it returned to No. 1, still holding strong. Other songs from the film, like “Your Idol” and “Soda Pop,” are also climbing the Hot 100, sitting at No. 3 and No. 5, respectively. A total of eight tracks from the movie’s soundtrack are making waves on the charts.

After the SNL appearance, EJAE announced her debut single, “In Another World,” set for release on October 24. In an Instagram post, she expressed her gratitude for the support she’s received as both a songwriter and voice of Rumi in the film. “I’ve always been comfortable behind the scenes, so this newfound attention is exciting, but nerve-wracking,” she shared. “Writing this song helped me through tough times, and I hope it resonates with others.”

The cameo from KPop Demon Hunters on SNL has already sparked conversation online, with fans sharing their excitement across social media platforms. For a glimpse of their surprise performance, check it out below!
