Unforgettable Summer Fun: Explore Brownstown’s Festival Packed with Food, Family, and Exciting Activities!

Brownstown is buzzing as preparations roll out for its Summer Festival. After a long hiatus, this beloved community event is back, promising a weekend full of food, family, and fun.

Mary Camarata, owner of Big Bear Lodge, said, “Brownstown is growing, and they keep advancing.” Local business owners like Sue Trussell, the Downtown Development Authority Director, are eager to involve everyone. “We wanted to get our local businesses involved. It draws in new visitors who might check out our shops or restaurants while they’re here.”

Rami Elawadi, owner of Francesca’s Pizzeria, believes this festival’s focus on small businesses is key to its charm. “It brings the community together,” he shared. In addition to local eateries, there’s a Kid Zone, a Vintage Market, and live music, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Festival-goers like Brad Musolf appreciate this blend of activities. “I love taking my kids out for food and culture while supporting the community.” Plus, there’s excitement over the first-ever Cream Puff eating contest, sure to add a fun twist to the festivities.

The Brownstown Fire Department will also be present, not just for safety but to support local charities through a beer tent. Rob Campeau, a lieutenant with the department, noted, “Part of the beer sales will benefit Goodfellows and other local charities.”

The festival kicks off this Friday and runs all weekend. With such dedication to community spirit, it’s no wonder the Brownstown Summer Festival is making a comeback.
