In 2020, India reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 7.93%, showing its strong commitment to climate action.”

Key figures at the event included the Prime Minister of Guyana, HE Brigadier Mark Phillip, and Brazil’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change, HE Ms. Marina Silva.

The three-day event focused on building partnerships to accelerate sustainable development goals. Yadav emphasized that working together is crucial in fighting climate change. “Global problems need global solutions, and collaboration is essential,” he said.

He also spoke about India’s rising influence in global climate leadership. India aims to ensure that its climate actions are inclusive and ambitious, emphasizing teamwork. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has launched significant initiatives like the International Solar Alliance and the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, which reflect its commitment to global sustainability.
