University of Hawai’i Baseball Battles Hard but Falls Short in Pitcher’s Duel Against No. 15 UCSB

Honolulu – The Hawai’i baseball team faced a tough challenge in a closely contested game against No. 15 UC Santa Barbara, falling 2-1 at Les Murakami Stadium. Both Itsuki Takemoto and Sebastian Gonzalez put forth an impressive effort on the mound, but it wasn’t enough to clinch the win.

However, Kamana Nahaku quickly equalized for Hawai’i with a solo home run in the fifth. But UCSB answered back in the sixth, with Isaac Kim driving in the game-winning run on a two-out single.
