JAMESTOWN — The University of Jamestown Booster Club has announced the inductees for the 2025 Jimmie Athletic Hall of Fame. This special event coincides with the university’s 100th homecoming celebration from October 3-5, and will take place on Friday, October 3. Alongside the inductees, the ceremony will honor the Rollie Greeno and Jim Clark Award winners.
The Hall of Fame recognizes those who have made significant contributions to the university’s athletics, including remarkable athletes, coaches, and supporters. Here are this year’s inductees:
Aleona Reyes ‘16
Aleona excelled in track and cross country, earning three NAIA All-American honors from 2011 to 2013. She set a school record in the distance medley relay and holds top rankings in several track events. Aleona was also a crucial part of three DAC conference championship teams.
Sarah Becker ‘14
In 2013, Sarah led the nation in hitting percentage, making her one of the top players in NAIA history. As a two-time All-American and four-year starter, she continued to shine after graduation, working as a therapist in Minnesota.
Mandi (Zimney) Krueger ‘98
Mandi was a champion during her time, winning multiple NDCAC titles and qualifying for NAIA nationals throughout her college career. She’s now a real estate agent in Colorado, balancing her career and family life.
Sam Joseph, ‘06
Despite only playing two seasons, Sam left a huge mark in Jimmie baseball history as one of the top players for RBIs and home runs. He is actively involved with his local community in Jamestown.
Rollie Greeno Award
This year, Tim Graf ‘83 is recognized for his dedication to education and coaching. He has had a 40-year career, serving as a teacher and administrator in multiple states. He’s set to retire in 2025 and resides in South Dakota.
Jim Clark Award
Lynette Fitterer, a 1987 graduate, is honored posthumously for her commitment to servant leadership. She held various coaching roles and was also the mayor of New Salem. Her legacy continues to inspire many.
A new interactive display featuring all past inductees is now available at the Harold Newman Arena, providing fans a unique chance to celebrate Jimmie athletics.
The induction ceremony begins with a social at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 5:45 p.m. and the ceremony at 6 p.m. Tickets are priced at $20.
