The Hornets controlled the game, dominating the stats with 30 shots compared to just 2 for the Yellow Jackets. They also earned an impressive 20 penalty corners. Despite Lynchburg’s offensive pressure, the first half was tight. Randolph-Macon’s goalkeeper, Valentina Ambrogi-Torres, put forth a remarkable effort, keeping the score at 0-0 by halftime.

The game turned in the third quarter. Lynchburg ramped up its intensity, firing off 12 shots. Saar Prins broke the deadlock in the 34th minute with the first goal of the match. Just minutes later, Allie Freeman extended the lead with a clever deflection, putting the Hornets in a strong position.

Defensively, Lynchburg was impenetrable, allowing only two shots, none of which threatened the goal. This win keeps the Hornets’ unbeaten streak intact and extends their perfect record at home.

Looking ahead, Lynchburg will host Bridgewater on Saturday, Oct. 18, during homecoming.
