It’s time we talk about stadium food. Sometimes, it can get a little out of hand. Recently, during a University of Miami baseball game against Villanova, fans were offered a wild treat: a Philly cheesesteak milkshake. Yes, you read that right.

Now, I’m not one for the healthiest choices. I’d rather enjoy pizza and cheeseburgers over salads any day. But even I was taken aback by this strange creation. This drink, called the “Mark Light Shake,” wasn’t just a milkshake. It combined ice cream and syrup with a mini cheesesteak on top. Talk about a bizarre mix!
Imagine trying to enjoy the game while worrying about making it through the seventh inning. You might find yourself in a rush to the restroom instead! This type of food seems more likely to cause trouble than delight.
This brings up an important point: just because we can create something unusual doesn’t mean we should. Cheesesteaks and ice cream are both tasty on their own, but combining them doesn’t feel right, especially in the Miami heat during spring. Why not stick to classic options like burgers and fries? Fans could order what they really want instead of wrestling with odd concoctions.
Ultimately, stadium food should be about enjoyment, not regret. The Baltimore Orioles get it right by offering affordable food options this coming season, making it easier for fans to enjoy the game without worrying about their wallets or stomachs.
So, what do you think? Would you dare to try the cheesesteak milkshake? Share your thoughts!
