Fayetteville, Ark. – The Missouri track and field team wrapped up the NCAA West Regional Championships with a mix of performances from their female athletes.

Senior Ames Burton started off the events in the discus throw, finishing 32nd with a throw of 49.72 meters (163 feet). This marked her third time competing in the regional championships.
Sophomore Marlena Tresnjo took part in the high jump, landing in 42nd place with a height of 1.71 meters (5 feet 7.25 inches).
But the standout for the Tigers was sophomore Monica Wanjiku. She competed in both the 10,000m and the 5000m. For the 5000m, she clocked in at 16:29.44, placing 28th and finishing in the top half of her heat.
