FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Nevada Wolf Pack (10-3) kept their winning streak alive with a solid 75-62 victory over Colorado State (9-4), marking their second win in Mountain West play this season.
Nevada shot impressively, making 42.3% of their two-point attempts and 36.4% from three-point range. Their free-throw shooting was strong too, at 74.2%. The depth of the team played a crucial role, with the bench outscoring the Rams 32-10.
Tyler Rolison led the way for Nevada with 21 points, matching his career high. He also added five rebounds and three steals. Chuck Bailey III contributed 15 points, while Vaughn Weems had a career-best with 12 points and nine rebounds.
Defensively, the Wolf Pack held Colorado State to just 37% shooting overall and 25% from deep. Elijah Price stood out with 10 rebounds, three blocks, and two steals, helping the team force ten turnovers.
The first half saw Nevada jump to a quick 5-0 lead thanks to a three-pointer from Kaleb Lowery. They extended their lead to eight before Colorado State fought back, briefly taking a lead. But Rolison hit another three-pointer right before halftime, giving Nevada a 37-36 lead.
In the second half, the game remained tight. Nevada found their footing with a seven-point lead after Weems’ three-pointer. However, Colorado State responded with a scoring run. In the end, Nevada pulled away in the final minutes to secure the win.
Looking ahead, Nevada will face Fresno State in California on January 3rd. The game starts at 4 p.m.
