University of Oklahoma Sets New Fundraising Record

The University of Oklahoma has reached a remarkable milestone by raising over $352 million during the fiscal year that ended on June 30. This new total surpasses their previous record of $334 million from 2024. It also marks a significant achievement in the ongoing campaign, Lead On: The University of Oklahoma’s Campaign for the Future, which has now raised more than $1.5 billion toward its $2 billion goal.

OU President Joseph Harroz Jr. celebrated this accomplishment, saying, “Reaching this milestone is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish together.” He emphasized that this success reflects the commitment of the community and helps fuel innovation and excellence at the university.

This year saw support from over 31,000 alumni and friends. Notably, OU received a record 72 gifts of $1 million or more, bringing the total number of such gifts in the campaign to 263. Additionally, OU Athletics received a historic $113 million—up from $109 million in 2024—showcasing the growing support for the university’s sports programs.

On Giving Day, OU achieved another record by raising over $30 million in just one day. Contributors came from all 50 states and 21 other countries, totaling nearly 7,000 individual gifts. These contributions bring the university closer to its refreshed strategic goals outlined in the Lead On plan.

Amy Noah, the vice president and chief advancement officer of the University of Oklahoma Foundation, noted, “The Lead On campaign shows that when the OU community comes together, we can accomplish incredible things.” She highlighted that each gift plays a part in enhancing the student experience and advancing the institution’s mission.
