Pilots Shine at Bryan Clay Invitational
The Pilots performed admirably at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California. Many athletes set personal records, showcasing their hard work and dedication.
Rose Perotin stood out with a strong third-place finish in the 800 meters, clocking 2:07.97—her best time yet. She also achieved a personal record in the 1500 meters, finishing at 4:29.61. On the men’s side, KG Monyebodi ran the 5000 meters in 14:04.77, marking his personal best.
Distance runners also made remarkable strides in the 5000 meters. Selena Bangerter finished at 17:06.79, Kate Kabenina at 17:32.85, and Danica Allen at 17:35.53. Bangerter added another personal record in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:38.50, alongside Kabenina and Giana Atkinson.
In the steeplechase, Elliot McIntosh recorded a personal best of 9:35.73, while Giuliano Scasso clocked 8:49.28 and also competed in the 1500 meters.
On the sprinting front, Aria Cain achieved a personal best of 11.79 seconds in the 100 meters, and Malia Harvey set a new record at 24.31 seconds in the 200 meters.
Next, the Pilots will head to Corvallis for the OSU High Performance meet on May 1-2 at the Whyte Track and Field Center.
