University of Toledo Women’s Rowing Team at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta
The University of Toledo Women’s Rowing team took part in the prestigious Head of the Schuylkill regatta in Philadelphia. This event is one of the oldest and largest rowing competitions in the U.S. They faced tough competition from schools like Pittsburgh, Villanova, Pennsylvania, and Temple.
Toledo entered several races, showing their growing talent. They had three boats in the women’s college novice 8+ race, two in the championship open 4+, and one in the novice open 4+.
Results Overview
Novice 8+ Race:
- First Novice 8+: 7th place with a time of 14:17.97, beating teams from Army and Temple.
- Second Novice 8+: 9th place in 15:14.36, ahead of boats from Temple and Villanova.
- Third Novice 8+: 16th place in 16:46.58.
Championship 4+ Race:
- First Championship 4+: 21st place with 15:13.1, outpacing boats from Loyola and George Mason.
- Second Championship 4+: 42nd place in 16:10.87.
Novice 4+ Race:
- First Novice 4+: 12th place in 17:04.77, finishing ahead of two boats from the University of Pittsburgh.
