Pune/Porbandar: Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, recently reviewed the final phase of Exercise Trishul at Madhavpur Beach in Gujarat. This exercise showcased Amphibious Landing Operations alongside integrated land, air, and maritime forces.
Exercise Trishul involved large-scale maneuvers across several terrains, including the Western Seaboard and the Rann & Creek Sector. This impressive display highlighted the synergy among India’s tri-services and their ability to work together effectively.
During the exercise, Lt Gen Seth boarded the INS Jalashwa to observe the operational readiness of the Amphibious Forces. He was joined by Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan and Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor. They oversaw the launch of the first Infantry Platoon with tanks, marking a key moment in the beaching operations.
The Amphibious Landing Operations illustrated excellent coordination among ground, naval, and air forces. This proves the Indian Armed Forces’ capability to project power from sea to land under realistic conditions. Notably, the exercise incorporated advanced technology, such as drones, alongside traditional infantry and mechanized elements.
